Two’s Room

Our Two’s room provides a stimulating environment for our inquisitive two year olds. The environment encourages the children to learn through exploration and play.

There are natural objects, toys and resources available for the children to access themselves to encourage their independence. We encourage imaginative play by ensuring there is a role play area with relevant resources for the children to access.

At this stage the practitioners are well equipped to support the Two’s emerging literacy and mark making skills. We have circle time every day where we regularly read stories to the children and carry out group activities. During this stage we are also required to carry out a Two Year Check that enables us to track your child’s development. This can be passed on to the child’s health visitor if you wish.

At this stage the children may begin to start to potty train. We have potties available to use and will happily support parents who wish to begin potty training their child. The children can then go on to use the toilets in our own bathroom as and when they need independently.
