Three’s Room

During this stage the children will be encouraged to develop their independence. The children are increasingly curious and may begin to ask more detailed questions. The children have the opportunity to explore, develop their imagination, develop their physical skills, mark making skills and numeracy skills using their interests as a starting off point.

Children’s numeracy, literacy and communication skills are developed and stretched. Children have access to various materials, resources and toys to further their development. The Three’s occasionally mix with the Pre-schoolers to ready them for the next stage of their learning.

Three’s room offers a highly stimulating environment to provide your child with the necessary skills for the next stage of their development. We cover all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation stage within this room through a mixture of child-led activities and more focused activities. During this stage our routines becomes more structured to help the children adapt. The transition from Two’s room to Three’s is a smooth transition as a practitioner from that room will move with them where possible to keep familiarity for the child so they can adapt to their new room and routine with ease.
